Agile Frameworks And Certifications. Do We Need Them?
There are two infamous Agile puzzles.
Puzzle 1: “Framework or No Framework?”
Few say, “Follow Framework to the T”
Others say, “Discard Frameworks. Just be Agile”
Who’s right?
None!
Why? Let’s have a look.
Imagine a solid rock
Can you see art?
No!
But is there art in that rock?
Absolutely!
Once the Carver (Picasso), removed unwanted parts of the rock, the art revealed itself.
Rock, is not the art. Rock contains the art.
By following a framework blindly to the “T”, like an un-carved rock, we can’t reap the benefits of the Agile mindset it contains.
Once we remove the unwanted parts of the framework (after carefully following it for some time), the mindset that the framework houses, reveals itself, and helps us in achieving Business Agility.
Can we discard frameworks altogether?
Think for yourself.
Can we have the art without the Rock?
Nope!
We need Frameworks. We just need to be a little Agile with them!
Puzzle 2: Are Certifications important?
Yes, to Gain Entry!
Gatekeepers (HR), use certifications to select your resume.
But when your resume is with a Hiring Manager, certifications have NO Value.
